Do you have any plans for the coming summer holiday?
Many of you may have fun with firends or travel with family.But British kids have some different ideas.
In Britain,it is popular to go on one-day trips to famous places,including old castles ,theaters and sport stadinms .When I was 14,I visited Old Trafford,the soccer stadium of Manchester United .It holds 75,000 people and is almost always full!I sat in the manager’s seat and pretended to shout out orders.
Family holidays are also common.A popular holiday is at the seaside.Kids make sandcastles on the warm beaches.They can also take donkey rides along the seaside.
Some kids also choose to help parents with the housework.I used to help my dad with the garden work:cutting the grass and watering trees.And I earned my first “wage” as a result of all my help.
Whatever you do,make many memories this summer!
