Economic majors face several challenges.
Firstly, there are more and more students with degrees of economics whereas there are not so much need for economist in the society.
Secondly, since economic majors usually don't have much real capability, they can hardly find a position in an industrial company.
Thirdly, since economic majors are often absorbed in theories and statistics, they know very little about how to communicate and cooperate with others. Consequently, it will be difficult for them to even survive in the society.
