up.表示在.上端,较高,较上的部位.
above ,over 在 ...上面 没有接触点.
以上是我对这些词的理解.
那么
They built a new room above [over] the garage.他们在车房上加盖了一个新房间.（要是没有的话 ,那么这句怎么解释了?）
his office is up those staris 他的办公室在那段楼梯上面.
the bath room is down those stairs 洗澡室在楼梯下面 （up down ,这里明显是在.下面/上面,而不是某个物体较高的部位.那么up/down 就有两种意思了1.在.较高部位,2.在.上面）
