不是强调句,填when,强调句是可以去掉it was..that句子还是完整的,但前面少了介词,如果是at the middle of the night就是强调句了.

应该用when，这是强调句，但是强调句不一定都用that。你把这句话改成一般形式是In the middle of the night my father woke me up and told me to watch the football game. 这里你可以看到在句首我加了一个In。没有这个in的话就不能组成一个完整的句子，在这种情况下就应该用when强调。只有在你将it was ...
