从句修饰的是the days,中心词是前面的时间,所以用表示时间上的during,不能用从句中的动词搭配来修饰前面的主句,再说也没有live in there的表达方式.

要是在We are looking for the person (to) whom the wallet belongs.中心词肯定是the person,但是whom 前面用to却是因为后面的belongs啊。讲下吧，还是不懂啊

其实，个人认为，在第一句中也可以使用in，但不是你所说的是根据lived搭配的。而是因为在表示一段时间内的情况时，in和during是可以通用互换的。这点上你可以咨询一下你的老师。而你主要的问题是在于live这个动词的用法你没有完全掌握。live可以说live there或者live in the place，但是既然有了there，就不能再用in了。明白了吗？
