doing 是现在分词,作定语,修饰someone;someone doing 意义上（即逻辑上）是主谓关系,所以用现在分词.举例：There are twenty students playing football on the playground.（=There are twenty students who are playing football on the playground.相当于定语从句.）

其实很简单， doing之前的动词是“is”，所以 is + 动词ing形式。不用每次都分析句子成分和所在位置是做什么修饰和修饰谁的。
