1.is quite different from,是你要的意思,而be similar to是与什么相似的意思2spending,因为动词做主语,所以要加ing

spend
spend time 花时间
不大相同并不是非常不同,翻译不要太死板
我改正SPEND，楼上是对的，我忽略了语法
