My favorite festival is the Chinese Moon Festival,also referred to as the Mid-Autumn Festival.The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on he 15th day of the 8th lunar month.We have a super moon on that night,which is the roundest and brightest of a year.On that day,families get reunion.
Mid-Autumn Festival is also considered as a harvest festival since fruits,vegetables and grain had been harvested by this time and food is abundant.Food offerings are usually placed on an altar set up in the courtyard.People also make moon cakes containing a variety of fruits.Moon cakes are one of my favorite snacks.
