m facing a bit of a dilemma here.First of all,for everyone?s information,I applied to university this year and m heading to York in just a couple of days (residence) and m going to be studying Psychology or so I thought.
My story begins pretty much in grade 11.All of my grades were in the 90s range, except math (more like the 50s range) despite trying hard and I just hated math.I had my mind set on Schulich but the math screwed me and I just changed to Arts?last minute because I knew that I wouldn?t get accepted into any decent BBA program with 50s in math.Yes,tried the tutoring, the homework every night, etc.and I just hated it and was miserable.
I still want to do business something along the management/marketing/human resources stream but WITHOUT the math.Economics I don?t like either, but I MIGHT be able to suck it up if it involves MINIMAL and SIMPLE math. Now mind you,I was struggling with factoring,so keep in mind what hard math?means to me!Also,I feel that business will open a lot of opportunities more so than psychology.I need something practical as well, especially if I don?t want to spend X amount of years extra on grad work in Psych.
The problem?
ve already enrolled in courses at York and they?re ALL Artsy?courses without a single business course and everything?s full.Even if I were to start taking the required business courses starting next summer to catch up,I do not know of a SINGLE business program (even at Atkinson) that does NOT require mathematics. Also,I don?t think one can combine a BA major and BAS/BBA major as a double major I think it has to be in the same faculty.
