a marketing manager will have developed communications and negotiations expertise,things that are also valued in many other fields and functions.
“things that are ...” 看起来是定语从句,那么为什么会有一个things呢?
things 是什么成分?
things 是指之前提到的"communications and negotiations expertise",还是初这些之外的东西!

后面这个分句是前面的补充,是一个非限定性定语从句,things来代替developed communications and negotiations expertise,因为先行词太长了,意思是,一个市场经理要有的优秀的交流沟通能力与谈判技巧在此工作以外的许多领域也同样很有价值.
things 是指之前提到的"communications and negotiations expertise"

thins是developed 的宾语，前面应该是省略了and,译为“诸如此类”，things后面的就是修饰它的定于从句，个人是这么理解地~
