1.句子有误,应该是It was at the department store that we used to shop,这里不能用where,因为用了where引导定语从句后,句首的it就无法解释了,所以这里只能是it was...that的强调句结构.
2.call up这里是唤起记忆的意思.bring up一般意思是“抚养（小孩)”,take out常用意思是“消灭（敌人）或者拿出某样东西”.
3.这里after what was about ten days,是after后面的介词宾语从句,由what引导.当然不用从句也行,但用了从句,显得句子更加正式.
