contact 和 reach 表达上有什么区别呢?

是指联系不同的地方的某人,特别是通过电话和信件联系的时候.
如：
The only way to reach them in the place where they're staying is by mail.
I've been trying to reach you on the phone all day.
contact
是指通过电话,邮件,写信,FAX等等的方式来联系到对方.
I tried to contact him at his office,but he wasn't in.
