Many children now spend hours each day trying to progress through the levels of a game or to get a higher score than their friends
1,progress though是一个词组吗,用法?
2,or的后面为什么加to,直接加get可以吗?

1、progress:
vi.
前进,进步；进行(不及物动词)
所以 出现progress through 未尝不可,可以理解为“成功通过”
2、or 连接 try to do sth.所以用to get.

1.不算词组。只是一种用法。意思是努力，进步，加油。
2.不可以直接加get。to是接trying后的。trying接俩宾语

1、在语境中，那可以当成词组，意思是“不断深化”句子中的意思是“游戏等级升级”。
2、or后面的to和try to 形成平行结构，不能省略。如果是try progressing through。。。那么or后面就跟着ing形式变成 or getting。。。
