一般如果是叙事事特指某一个寒冷的冬天就必须用the cold winter，如果仅仅是描述冬天的寒冷，用寒冷来修饰冬天，可以直接用cold winter。根据您的问题，感觉属于第一种情况的可能性更大一些，毕竟我们在使用英语时更多是在特定的语境中。写短语的时候是不是写the cold winter？我们老师打在博客上的是cold winter（我们老师经常打错）还有温暖的天气是warm weathe...
