e operated on 是被动语态呀,只不过前面省略了should ,完整的后半句为:
...that the patient should be operated on imediately.病人应该立即动手术.
为什么省略should呢?此句中医生坚决主张病人应该立即动手术.
当insist作“坚决主张；坚决要求”讲时,用虚拟语气(should)+动词原形,should可以省略.be operated on 正是省略了should 的虚拟语气.
