i was to have intended to be present at your birthday party,but business interfered.
i intended to have finished my work last night.
这两句都是 我本打算.事先安排好的事没有如期完成.但两句有什么不同,第一句为什么可以用 be动词+intend...
两句可不可以互换,例如第一句换成 i intended to have been present .或是第二句改成 i was to have intended to finish.

e to do表示打算做,表将来.be to have done表示打算做某事但事实上没做,was to have intended表示本来打算去参加（生日聚会）,但是结果没去（因为生意/工作上的一些事情）,句子需要对过去时间的虚拟.
其实互换是可以的,只是要看你的上下文意思.

was to have done sth.意思是本该做某事，但是没做，意思完整。
第二句字面看来可能有歧义，需要结合上下文分析到底做没做这件事。但实际运用中大家都知道你其实没做这件事。
所以理论上来说其实是一样的意思，没必要太较真，互换也是可以的...

intended to have finished 这句话的意思是：本该打算完成的失却没有完成，它强调的是结果。
i was to have intended to be present at your birthday party, but business interfered 若这句话用这个的话，but。。。。后面的原因就是多余的了

第一句是 be to do 表示有计划地做某事
e.g. i am to visit him tomorrow 我打算明天去拜访他。
两句用法可以互换吧~ 意思是差不多的，只不过是像楼上说的，强调部分不同
