[摘 要] 本文主要以奥斯丁的四部长篇小说《傲慢与偏见》、《理智与情感》、《爱玛》和《劝导》中的四个女主人公伊丽莎白、爱玛、安妮、埃丽诺为对象,来分析她们自我教育与自我完善的历程.
奥斯丁笔下的女主人公形象不是静止的,她们是在不断发展的,一方面,她们在不断的自我发现,这是主要的,另一方面,她们自己天生的美德帮助了她们不断趋向成熟.她塑造了一系列个性独特、魅力四射的女主人公形象,她们的成长多体现在她们对爱情和婚姻的看法和追求上.
