They are__little children __ they can't understand their parents.应填so..that 还是such..that?
我感觉2个应该都可以填的,我也知道so是副词,修饰形容词；such是形容词,修饰名词.
我的理解是so little a child=such a little child ,
在将a child变成复数children时,那么so little children =such little children了.
最后答案给出了such..that.请不要单单给出答案,我需要详细的有说服力的讲解和推理.

答案是such that
so 后面只能加形容词而不能加名词.
such 跟so刚好相反.此处前半句宾语的中心语是children,是一个名词,所以只能用such.
简单来说：so+adj.such +n.注意不能用这种；so +adj.+n.这个等同于so +n.是错误的.

such little...=那么‘小’
so little...=那么‘少’
这个句子的意思是孩子们很小，不是很少，所以such little更适合。另外so little children读起来很怪。如果要说孩子们很少，应该用so few children。

应该是such ... that ...
so that 的意思是“这么“...“因此”
such that 的意思是“这么的/这样的”..."因此“。
so后面应该接形容词，而such 后面接名词。此处little children 为名词，所以应该用such
