请问为什么不选c，我觉得先行词是前面那个purpose、。。。

你估计是这样理解的，，学生的目的，然后中心词就成了目的，但是他仅仅是中心词，不是先行词！如果用purpose当先行词，就变成the purpose of students why they come to school is to study.
