Recently,there’s a heated debate whether English is too hot in China.In my opinion,I don’t think English is too hot in our country.
Actually,we are supposed to adopt a correct attitude towards English learning.On one hand,English is undoubtedlyof great importance,which can not only help us communicate with foreigners,but also can offer an opportunity to learn from them.On the other hand,English doesn’t mean everything; consequently,we shouldn’t attach too much significance to English study.After all,we still have a great deal of knowledge and technique equally important to master.

Nowadays,more and more Chinese people are learning English.Therefore some people are concerned that English is too hot in China,worrying that it may have a bad effect on Chinese.ButI am not in favor of this viewpoint.Instead,I hold a firm view that English is a useful language which everyone should learn more or less.
Firstly,English is an international language which is widely spoken.You’ll fall behind if you know nothing about English.Secondly,learning English can broaden our horizons.For example,we are able to understand some English books better if we can read them in their own language.Thirdly,with the development of China,we are expected to communicate with people from different counties.Therefore,English is a practical tool for us.
In conclusion,I believe that English is not as hot as some people think.What’s more,it’s a good chance to make our culture known through this language.
