看定语从句的讲解时,看到一句话“There are many people live on that farm.” 说是there be 句型中,只用that,而且that作定语从句主语时候可以省略.但是我怎么左读右读都觉得这句话很怪,总觉得这句话说成 There are many people living on that farm.或者去掉there be,改成 Many people live on that farm.都要好些.
如果是正确的话,那么这道题There's an old man ______ on the road,let's move him away.填lying 和is lying 都对?因为它也可以看成是There's an old man (that) is lying on the road.
