选D。因为意思是四分之三。40个学生中10个是女生。那么剩下的30个可表述为四分之三。
英文中的分数，分子是基数词，分母是序数词。分子大于1时，分母变复数。而且分子在前，分母在后。
如：三分之一：one third 而三分之二：two thirds.
