the room doors were open,yet she never went out____,without shutting them是正确答案.我知道without shutting them是好听严谨些,但是也感觉before she shut them也对啊~求讲解.

口语中这么说不算错的.
但是要是从更加严谨的语法角度来说：假如你说成She never went out before she shut them.那这句话就出现了动作先后的问题,went out 是在shut 之前发生的动作,是“过去的过去”,应该用过去完成时更合适,所以要是原句前面用的是过去完成时,你这么填就没问题了.
