1.He is the first man that can walk on the string.
2.I am the only student who can run faster than Peter.
这两个句子的先行词都是表示人的名词.而且第一个句子有the first修饰,第二个句子有the only修饰.但是为什么第一个句子用that,而第二个句子用who呢?

第一句因为有first修饰所以必须用that,第二句the only修饰时用that或who都可以.

在定语从句中，不是用这样一个规定吗？当先行词先有the only进行修饰时，只能用that，而不能用which吗？那为什么又可以用who了？

我记得的是the only修饰时that和who都是可以的，要不你再查查标准的语法书？不好意思我印象里是这样的。
