我知道be in love with,但是上面这个句子be和in love with怎么不在一起?
我造了个句子:the city is in love with it's own past我觉得这个句子更符合be in love with,更通顺不是吗?
with it's own past 做什么成分？

书上翻译：it's a city in love with it's own past ====it's a city which /that is in love with its own past.
只是省略了引导词部分.
in love with it's own past 做后置定语.with its own past 不能隔开来看!
