1.on （have pity on sb.表示同情某人）
2.句中gone（go）是瞬间动词,而how long问的是持续性的动作,表示动作持续了多久,瞬间动词不能用how long提问.如果句子是“Mum ,could you please tell me ＿＿＿dad has BEEN to london”就可以用how long了.楼上说how long表示物体具体长度没错,但是这里句子没有这样的意思.
