Children should not have to work or help with household tasks; their only responsibility should be to study.
Were it up to me to answer the question whether a student should do household tasks or just spend all his or her time in doing homework,I would certainly response that a student needs to do some household tasks.Three evidences provided in the following passages would demonstrate my perspective.
To begin with,what students gain from study cannot fulfill their needs for future work and life.To girls,most of them might have to leave their jobs to be housewives in the future.Therefore,being familiar with all kinds of household tasks is quite crucial to them.To boys,they usually have to work all their life.Thus,how to manage their life and work well is pretty important to them.At the same time,grasping some easy and primary household tasks would be helpful to them.
Additionally,in my eyes,doing household tasks is necessary due to that it expresses gratidution to what we get from our parents and care of our family.As we all know,most parents are busy with gaining more income for providing a better living and study condition for their kids.Some parents even prepare the expensive tuitions for college or further study.Thus,personally,I hold the view that we need to do some household tasks that we could do when we are at home.
Finally,doing household tasks in some degree also inspires students' study.For example,when I was in the junior high school,at weekends I used to help my mother with cleaning the toilets.During the cleaning process,I found that most kinds of brushes sold in markets cannot clean them effectively.Thus,I made one by myself and it really worked perfectly.From my own experience,I think that doing household tasks could also develop our critical thinking for solving some practical problems.
In conclusion,it is not study that a student needs to concentrate on.Students could benefit a lot from doing household tasks.At the same time,in the moral standard,we should do some household tasks to express our gratidution for parents' efforts and our love for the family.
