1.这两个都是宾语从句，第一个中what在宾语从句中做主语，第二句中what在宾语从句中做宾语；
2.宾语从句中的顺序是陈述句的顺序，疑问词要提前

第2句不能写成Please tell me what are you doing
因为你这个后面的从句里面的句子要使用正常语序，你上面的写法是疑问句语序

第一句的what确实是主语，第二句的what作为do 的宾语

第1句可以改成你的Please tell me what the dicisive causes of his success are

第一个what是做主语，自然后面接它的谓语，看起来好像是倒装，但不是，它就是宾语从句所需的陈述语序。第二个what是做宾语，但需要放前面来引导，其它用陈述语序。
