If a product is excludable,when one person consume the product,others are not able to consume the product at the same instance.For example,all of your private things are excludable.
If a good is rival,when some people consume the same product together,the satisfaction for any of the consumer wil be lower if they consume the good by their own.For example,the street light is considered non-rival because many people could enjoy the light without diminishing others' satisfaction.
