Modern biotechnology has been playing a vital role in human daily life, as high and new technology develops in 21st century. It is the key point of its Downstream Processing technology to convert production into practice. Therefore, the Downstream Processing claims its prospect of a broad use, and thus we should learn about its various usages in human life and then undergo researches according to the practice. The products are liable to be degraded by chemical or microbial factors and thus lack stabilities. And the variability of it caused by the batch operation during culturing processings is huge. However, It has a higher demand of quality comparing with the products from chemo-engineering commonly, since they are mainly applied in food and medicines. This article makes an overall introduction about the role which Downstream Processing technology plays in human life, and point out the questions it brings about to human society and its promising future in the mean time.
