live和live in的区别

live:动词,居住,通常加in,居住在…….光一个live不能跟宾语,比如:He lives happily(他住得快乐.) He lives in the town.(他住在城里.in后跟宾语,表示居住地方)
当中心词为place时,后面的不定式短语中的介词in可省略:
We have no place to live (in).
There is no place for us to live (in).
Zoos are terrible place for animals to live (in).
若中心词是其它名词,介词不能省略：
There is only one room (for us) to live in.
That （house） is too dirty (for us) to live in.
