First of all, question to the text is a good strategy for me because it increased my interest of reading and improved my cognitive activities. It gave me some interesting ideas to think about what the writer want to tell us in the article, and it is the pedestal part of summarizing up. In the article “ Coping with Procrastination,” mentioned, “ When you seriously do not want to do the things you need to do, you may need to reevaluate your situation.” (Baker, par 9). I tried to share my thinking by questioning the text as I was reading, because I thought that's what normally readers do. For that reason, I wrote down: “ what situation?” After read the whole paragraph, I found that the writer wants to explain everybody has different situation. He recommended that the best way to keeping you in busy is to find out a motivation. I got this meaning finally, but my questions were still too less during that time. After I read Barker’s article, I started to think more specifically questions to ask. For example, there’s a modern corollary said: “ work too hard, and you’re more likely to drop out of school and drift toward more temptations, such as alcohol or drugs.” (“Hey, Kid-Don’t work too hard” par 2) I questioned why working too hard could effect this mutation of children’s mentality and why they can’t control themselves. These questions helped me to discover small details in the paragraph whenever I needed. I awarded every question that I asked gave me a starting point to understand the article. Later on, probably I need to learn more English words to strengthen my activity of question. To sum up, questioning is one of the best methods that I learned, for how to make reading more interesting and diversity.
