First of all,living alone means we have to get problems fixed,and completed by ourselves.Lack of experience may lead to serious results.Secondly,being separate from family will surely widen the generation-gap which is already coast-to-coast wide and which has long been a widespread concern.Thirdly,communication ability of those living alone is quite poor and dissatisfactory which will definitely make them less social and outgoing.
Taking all these into account,I agree with the latter one.Only in this way can we be fully developed and live our lives to the fullest.
