there be 的句型,如：there aren't many pandas living in the world today.
there are 不是用一般现在时态吗?为什么这个句子中的动词live用动词的ing（living）呢,而不用live呢?

There aren't many pandas living in the world today.
= There aren't many pandas which/ that are living in the world today.
living in the world today是一个【现在分词短语】,在句中【作定语】,相当于一个【定语从句】.

be动词后面不能直接跟动词原形 不然就会出现两个谓语 所以live用了living的形式 充当非谓语 既表示panda和live之间是主动的关系 也说明了panda目前的状态不懂。there are/there is是一般现在时态谓语动词不是用原形吗？是不是跟today有关呢？用are而不是用were才和today有关 there be句型中 be动词充当谓语 一个简单句只能有一个谓语懂吧？但是这...

there be中的be已经是be动词了,一个句子中不可能有两个谓语动词.
所以后面的live要改写成非谓语动词.至于是改写成lived还是living,就要看句子中该动词与对应名词间的关系.
如你的句子中是说panda怎么在地球上.那panda不可能是被存在于地球上,而是主动的存在于地球上.因此就要改写成ing形式.即living....

意思是：有人在做某事
记住就好

doing 可以表示伴随状态
例：the teacher came in, holding a book in her hand. 老师手拿着一本书进来了。
这里这个句子也相当于伴随状态
