apart from与expect for有神吗区别

1 except for 除...以外,一般用于不同种类的比较.
eg：The room was empty except for a broken wood chair.
屋子里除了一张破木椅什么都没有.
2 apart from 和besides的用法差不多,都是“除了...还有...”
eg; Apart from the body of the book there are three informative appendices.
除正文外,该书还有三个资料丰富的附录.
Five others were late besides me.
除我以外还有五人迟到.
3.except that 除了...之外,只可惜
eg:That will do except that it is too long.
它可以用,只是太长了.
