我个人觉得是错在连接词then了，这个句子应该是因果联系的，因为我起床晚了，所以我错过了公车，但是because和so不能同时出现在一个句子中，所以可以说Because I got up late, I missed the bus.又或者I got up late, so I missed the bus.

missed the bus 发生在got up 之后，应该考虑使用过去完成时在got up 上。

英语中一个句只可以有一个连词，而中文因为所以这种一般都是2个。你这个句子有了because 和then两个连词，所以不对。去掉其中任何一个，都正确，只是意思稍微不同。
