虽然和但是在英语句子中不能同时出现，任意去掉一个都可以。

这是个病句，应去掉but 或者althought ，althought与but不能连用但可以翻译成“虽然...但是...”
改为Although we are friends now, after that we can only be strangers...或者We are friends now,but after that we can only be strangers...
