the last night 与last night 的区别

the last night是指说话双方都知道的那几天中的最后一天晚上；last night没有限定,就是指昨天晚上,如：
We spent three nights in Xi'an.And we went to fountain show for the last night.（那三天的最后一晚）
I did not have a good sleep last night.（昨晚）

前一个表示特指。后面的last night 可以不加介词直接做时间状语。
一个经常用做名词短语，另一个常作为壮语使用，
例如
The last night is what I will never forget。
he didn't come here last night。
