状语从句简单的Samuel Colt succeeded where other men had failed due

1、succeed 作为“成功”讲是不及物动词,不能直接带有任何宾语,更不用说宾语从句了.如果要表示“...取得成功”,必须和介词搭配才能跟宾语,如：succeed in doing sth.（做成功某事）,succeed in examination（考试及格）
